This is the first draft of a key to all fruticose lichens with green photobionts potentially occurring in Italy. The key also includes some foliose species with a subfruticose appearance, and non-cyanobacterial microfilamentous lichens. All taxa reported from Italy by Nimis (2016) are included, plus some species which are known from neighbouring countries, and whose presence in Italy is possible, for a total of 241 infrageneric taxa.
