Description: Thallus crustose, thinly episubstratic or partly endosubstratic, ecorticate, continuous to finely cracked, greenish white to almost pink, the colour fading in the herbarium. Apothecia round, semi-immersed to superficial, flesh-coloured, at first perithecioid and opening through a minute pore, later widening to 0.3-0.4 mm, and with the margin radially splitting, exposing the sunken, flesh-coloured disc. Proper exciple more or less colourless, of thin-walled, angular cells, with 5-7 µm long periphysoids; hymenium colourless, (85-)100-120 µm high, I-, K/I- or I+ bluish in upper part; paraphyses unbranched, slender, 1.5-2 mm thick, apically slightly thicker. Asci 8-spored, clavate to cylindrical, rounded at apex, thin-walled, with an amyloid exoascus without a ring structure. Ascospores 3-5(-7)-septate, hyaline, fusiform, (15-)17-23(-26) x 4-6 µm, with a thick gelatinous perispore. Photobiont trentepohlioid. Spot tests: K-, C-, KC-, P-, UV-. Chemistry: without lichen substances.Note: a rare species growing on sheltered, shaded surfaces of compact calcareous rocks at relatively low elevations. The generic placement is uncertain (see Cannon & al. 2024).
