Distribution: N - Ven (Anzi 1866).
Description: Thallus crustose, episubstratic, rimose or rimose-areolate, rugulose, dirty yellowish grey. Apothecia small, sessile, urceolate, with a flesh-coloured to reddish, finally sometimes blackening disc and a raised, black proper margin. Asci 8-spored. Ascospores 1-5-septate, hyaline, oblong-elongate, 17-24 x 3-4 µm. Photobiont (supposedly) trentepohlioid. Spot tests: unknown. Chemistry: unknown. Note: known only from the type collection, on dolomite, this species, characterised by the small urceolate apothecia with a reddish disc and a black margin, and by 2-6-celled ascospores, well deserves further study.
