Note: a species with a thick, grey-white, verrucose thallus reacting K- and C-, sessile, black, often confluent apothecia with flat to finally convex and immarginate disc, a dark greenish epithecium, a colourless hypothecium, 8-spored asci, and subellipsoid to spherical ascospores measuring 7-9 µm in diam.; a long-forgotten taxon of uncertain affinities, only known from the type collection, which would deserve further study.
