Synonyms:
Description: Thallus crustose, thinly episubstratic, usually granular or farinose, reddish to pinkish grey, turning grey in the herbarium. Apothecia 0.5-1(-1.5) mm across, with a concave to flat, pinkish orange but sometimes bluish grey-pruinose disc and a smooth, pruinose proper margin which rapidly turns carmine-red when wet. Proper exciple pale pink to brownish yellow in outer part, colourless within; epithecium orange-brown; hymenium and hypothecium colourless; paraphyses coherent, simple or sparingly branched in upper part. Asci 8-spored, cylindrical to elongate-subclavate, thin-walled, without tholus, the wall and the contents I+ blue. Ascospores 6-8 septate (rarely with an additional oblique septum), narrowly fusiform, hyaline, 20-48 x 4-7 μm. Photobiont trentepohlioid. Spot tests: K-, C-, KC-, P-, UV-. Chemistry: without lichen substances.
