Description: Thallus crustose, episubstratic, very thin, continuous to finely rimose, pale yellowish brown or whitish. Apothecia lecideine, (0.3-)0.4-0.7 mm across, with an initially concave, then almost flat, flesh-coloured to pinkish brown disc and a smooth, more or less concolorous proper margin which is sometimes laterally covered by a very thin, finally excluded thalline layer. Proper exciple colourless, 50-70 µm wide laterally; epithecium colourless; hymenium colourless, 90-110(-120) µm high; paraphyses mostly simple, 1-1.5 µm thick; hypothecium colourless. Asci 8-spored, thin-walled, apically thickened, with a small ocular chamber. Ascospores submuriform, with 3-7 transverse septa and 1-3 longitudinal septa, hyaline, narrowly ellipsoid to ovoid, (20-)24-34(-36) x (8-)10-12(-14) µm. Photobiont chlorococcoid, Cystococcus/Leptosira-like. Spot tests: K-, C-, KC-, P-, UV-. Chemistry: without lichen substances.
