Synonyms: Amphoroblastia helvetica (Th. Fr.) Servít
Description: Thallus crustose, episubstratic, thin and film-like to finely granular, subgelatinous when wet, pale to blackish grey, often inconspicuous. Perithecia black, 0.3-0.5 mm across, more or less immersed, globose or slightly flattened at the top. Involucrellum absent; exciple dark in upper part, pale brown in lower part; hamathecium of periphyses and periphysoids, interascal filaments absent. Asci (1-)2-spored, clavate, K/I-, fissitunicate, the wall thickened above, with an ocular chamber, dehiscent by extrusion of an endotunica to form a delicate rostrum. Ascospores strongly muriform, dark brown, cylindrical-ellipsoid, 70-140(-160) x 30-60 μm. Photobiont chlorococcoid. Spot tests: K-, C-, KC-, P-, UV-. Chemistry: without lichen substances.
