Synonyms:
Description: Thallus inapparent, the hyphae immersed into gelatinous algal films, probably not lichenized (perhaps a parasite of algal colonies). Perithecia 0.06-0.11(-0.14) mm across, globose, greyish or brownish, with a very thin, colourless gelatinous coat. Exciple of pigmented, periclinally oriented hyphae; paraphyses thread-like, c. 1-1.5 μm thick, mostly simple. Asci 32-60(-70)-spored, cylindrical-clavate, moderately thick-walled, non-fissitunicate, the entire ascus wall I+ and K/I+ blue, (30-)40-55(-60) x 7-10 µm. Ascospores 1-septate, not constricted at septum, hyaline, cylindrical-bacilliform with rounded ends, 6-8(-11) x (1-)1.5(-2) μm, without appendages at the ends.
