NAME MATCH
This tool allows to align lists of names (deriving from phytosociological relevés, old florulas, image archives, etc.) to the nomenclatural backbone of ITALIC. The process involves the input of lists of names in CSV (comma-separated value) files, or manually. Registration allows users to have the necessary computational space, since the matching process can take from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, depending on the size of the list.
Up to 10 lists entered in CSV format can be stored in the users' account. Thus, the alignment of ambiguous matches, which requires users' input, can be interrupted and resumed later.
